Barbara Capito Hicks passed away suddenly on March 25, 2016, in Valencia, California.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church. The prayer of the rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. and mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Barbara was born in Santa Monica, Ca to Agnes and Carmen Capito. She graduated from Culver City High School and continued on to working in the medical field assisting doctors and helping others including the Raiders organization. She married Jerry Hicks on May 14, 1994 and went on to having one son, Dillon James Hicks, who instantly became the love of her life and the sparkle in her eye. She was a warm and loving woman who will forever be remembered for her ability to make everyone laugh with her bright sense of humor. Barbara was an active member of her church with a deep love for her faith and God. She was also a dedicated member of the PTA at Charles Helmers Elementary School with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Bullock of Hawk, Pennsylvania and father, Carmen Capito, of Warren, Ohio. She is survived by her loving husband Jerry, her beloved son Dillon, and her siblings Carmen, Bobby and Jerry Capito.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15). Barbara, God now has you in his arms but we will forever have you in our hearts.
