Kurt Oskar Lennart Forshager

Kurt Oskar Lennart Forshager passed away peacefully on October 15, 2014, in Sunland, Ca.

Kurt was born in Boras, Sweden on August 18, 1928. Kurt immigrated to the United States in 1958 and was a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley since 1975. He was a typographer and graphic artist. He started Hager Color, which he ran until he retired. He loved all sports. In the 1950s, he was a world-class long distance runner and competed in many track events through out Europe. Later, he became a very devoted ice hockey fan and spent many years rooting for his Los Angeles Kings.

Kurt's other passion was Ham Radio. His call letters were WA6NHW. He enjoyed reaching out to his friends all over the world.

Kurt lived a full and fulfilling life. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbro, whom he loved more than anything. He is also be survived by his sister Anamaj Sward, his children Goran, Ruthie, Nick and their families.

Kurt will be laid to rest at a private ceremony in Halmstad, Sweden.
