Richard is survived by his daughter Helen (Warchol) Garey, nieces Barbara Warchol and Patricia (Warchol) Warren, and nephews Edward Warchol II, Thomas Warchol, and James Waclawski. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Mary (Konieczny) Warchol, older siblings Edward Warchol, Valentine Warchol, Elenore Warchol, and Florence (Warchol) Waclawski, and fiancée Betty Jean Tumey.

The funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Jan. 15, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (23233 Lyons Avenue, Newhall, CA). The burial service will follow at Assumption Cemetery (1380 Fitzgerald Road, Simi Valley, CA).

The family would like to thank the staff of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital for their grace and compassion in Richard's final hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
