March 11, 2015 — A bridge is placed over the LADWP's Los Angeles Aqueduct as part of the city of Santa Clarita's Santa Clara River Trail.

The site is just south of Newhall Ranch Road and northwest of the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Valley Center Drive.

June 16, 2015 [City of Santa Clarita] — Santa Clara River Trail Phase III at River Village Park is part of a project led by the City of Santa Clarita to extend the Santa Clara River Trail to the Fallen Warriors Memorial Bridge (Golden Valley Road at Valley Center Drive) and ultimately to the City's Discovery Park. The new trail extension provides enhanced bicycle access to major destinations and employment centers throughout the City. With the completion of Phase III, the community will benefit from the trail system which conveniently connects to a trailhead that provides parking and easy access to both the 24-acre River Village Park and open space, as well as local shops in the community. (Trail Phase III to be dedicated June 23, 2015.)
