The school entertainment Friday evening was one of the most enjoyable of the kind that it has been our pleasure to see for a long time.

A good audience was present to see the young folks show the talent which seems to be more than usually plentiful in this school. The playlet, "Mr. Bunny's Surprise," was the first offering and it was a surprise to the audience as well, the way those pupils from the fourth, fifth and sixth grades, under the direction of Miss Florence Mc-Connell, rendered this beautiful little skit.

The stage was most beautifully set with a woodland effect, and the story of the coming of Spring, the release of Mother Earth, and the dancing of the flowers — pansies and daffodils — was equal to that often seen attempted by much older persons. Along with the beauty was much comedy, and the laughter and applause ceased only after the generous outburst that followed the curtain.

To the same beautiful stage setting, "The Golden Whistle," an elegant little operetta, was then given. The awakening of a youth who was idling time away by sleeping in the forest, the present of a golden whistle which would bring him many friends, and which brought from hidden recesses fairies, elves end butterflies, made up the story.

The characters in "Mr. Bunny's Surprise" were: Mr. Bunny, Dorothy McDowell; Mr. Squirrel, Harold Gibson; Master Piggy, Elmer Bricker; Mr. Owl, Jack Barton: Mother Earth, Dorothy Lewis; Spring, Velda Eaton; Daffodils, Erma Bell, Myrtle Brinegar, Mildred Hoekstra, Inez Brown, Lillias LeTourneau.

Pansies: Jeannette Villineuve, Loraine LaSalle, Bobbie Creech.

The following composed the characters in "The Golden Whistle:" Beffo. Frances Harland; Alcea (old woman), Alberta Lamoreaux; Cardinals, Isadore Cooke, Virginia Page; Robin Red Breast, Louie Boyer; White Rabbit, Paul Bricker; Fairy Queen, Naomi Maxey.

Wild Roses: Evelyn Eaton, Marie Ward, Rose Lassalle, Helen Walker, Mary Duskin, Faye Smith, Evelynn Gilmour, Bertha Chaix, Margaret Thompson, Elizabeth Lewis.

Elves: Jack Harland, William Lamoreaux, Theodore Lamkin, Joe Cooke, Donald Dull, Raymond Lewis, Jules Villineuve, Earl Smith, Clarence Smith, Robert LeToumeau, Kenneth Bowman, Jack Ehrhardt, Arthur Perkins, Charles Lyons.

Miss McConnell directed the first part of the entertainment, while the last was under the direction of Mrs. Rule. Miss Millikin was the director of the music, Miss Dunn supervised the dances, while the decorations were under the direction of Miss Eastland. Miss Pengilly presided at the piano for the accompaniment.

While this might be an impossibility, there were expressions in favor of a repetition of the entertainment.
