Program book for the 6th annual Western Walk of Fame, hosted by the Downtown Newhall Merchants Association. Name later changed to Walk of Western Stars. ("6th Annual" is a misnomer, because the event was not held in 1986. It was the sixth, but it stopped being strictly "annual" after 1985.) Jo Anne Darcy's program book signed by inductee Amanda Blake ("Gunsmoke") and by Harry Carey Jr. (Dobe), who accepted on behalf of his late father, Harry Carey Sr., and on behalf of his friend Ben Johnson, who was unable to attend the event because he was away at a filming location in Kansas. (Dobe Carey was inducted in 2005.) Ben Johnson's wife, Carol, attended the event and signed the program, as did Jimmy Wakely, who was never inducted into the Walk but was honored in 1980 during an event that would become the Walk one year later. Among the other signers are Eddie Dean (1982 inductee and 1987 presenter) and Clayton Moore (1984 inductee and 1987 presenter). 1987 Inductees: Amanda Blake, Harry Carey Sr., Ben Johnson. 1987 Master of Ceremonies: Johnny Grant. 1987 Event chair: Judi Martin.
